Introducing Little Greentraveller

Posted by Richard Hammond at 10:05 on Friday 22 February 2013

We're launched a new family section, Little Greentraveller, featuring hundreds of family-friendly places to stay, activity breaks and adventure holidays, plus tips on travelling with babies and children by train and foot-passenger ferry services in the UK and Europe.
We've selected a range of family-friendy accommodation, from traditional cottages and city centre hotels to yurts and futuristic campsites, as well as lots of activity breaks in the UK, such as canoeing, cycling and climbing in Perthshire and learn to surf weekends in Pembrokeshire, and family activity holidays in Europe, such as family activity holiday in the French Alps, winter holiday in Sweden, and walking and donkey trails in Spain.

As with our parent site, Little Greentraveller, we flag up how to travel to every destination by train, ferry, or bus, with tips for how to do this with the little ones, including handy direct links to the operators to book your tickets.

As the saying goes, Families who play together, stay together. So, while most of the holidays are for the whole family unit, there are also holidays for parents who are in need of some grown-up time together while the kids have the chance to, for example, go horse riding in the West of Ireland and coasteering in Wales.
