Adventure Travel Live is the UK’s largest adventure travel event
Adventure Travel Live, the UK’s largest adventure travel event, is being held at the Royal Horticultural Halls, Victoria in London, 28-30 January.
The show will be packed with features, inspiration and practical knowledge, plus plenty of advice with over 60 talks in six theatres from explorers, adventurers, tour leaders and specialist companies.
Special show features will include an authentic Central Asian Dragoman yurt camp and a collection of winning images from the 2010 Travel Photographer of the Year competition.
Evening seminars will offer interesting lectures and open discussions on travel writing and photography, involving some of the biggest names in the business. The travel photography seminars will be hosted by Chris Coe, founder of the Travel Photography of the Year awards, and will feature lectures from travel photographers Steve Bloom, Chris Weston and Martin Hartley.
The travel-writing seminars will include, among others, Dan Linstead (writer and editor of Wanderlust) and Adrian Philips (publishing director at Bradt travel guides) offering expert tips and information for anyone with the travel-writing bug, whether you’re looking to start a career or blog, or simply wanting to document your travels for prosperity.
As part of the event, Richard Hammond, Chief Executive and founder of greentraveller.co.uk will be giving a talk about some of the incredible experiences involved in writing Great Escapes, an inspirational book that unearths 500 of the globe’s most inspiring holidays as well as giving tips for enjoying a more authentic traveling experience. The talk will take place at 11am on Sunday, 30 January in Theatre 1.
