Enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Swiss Alps on a rail holiday that includes the famous Bernina Express, with its wonderful vistas.
Day 1 - London to Chur
Travel on Eurostar from London to Paris (journey time is approximately 2 hours 15 minutes). On arrival in Paris transfer onto the TGV train to Zurich (journey time approximately 4 hours 30 minutes) where you change onto the train to Chur which takes 1 hour 30 minutes. On arrival in in Chur check-in at the ABC Chur Hotel. The ABC Chur is a modern boutique hotel with 40 comfortable and contemporary bedrooms. The hotel is close to the main railway station, in the centre of Chur.
Day 2 - The Bernina Express
After breakfast hop on board the Bernina Express to Tirano. The train travels high up into the Alps to the snowy Bernina Pass, travelling through traditional Alpine villages, past waterfalls and glaciers to Tirano, close to the Italian border. The journey is narrated throughout.
Day 3 - Chur to London
Take the train back through Switzerland via Zurich to Paris. On arrival in Paris transfer onto Eurostar back to the UK.
