Inside Woodpecker's luxury eco lodge
Two double bedrooms one ensuite, a great open plan bathroom complete with shower, toilet and infra red sauna. There's a fully equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, as well as a spacious living area complete with television, DVD and CD players, and a range of board games for the kids. The separate dining area has patio doors that open out to the front of the property, allowing you to dine alfresco. The private balcony is the ideal place from which to relax in the comfort of the sofa bed and revel in the surrounding British countryside.
What to see and do
Lying at the foot of the Quantock Hills, Woodpecker lodge is surrounded by miles of footpaths and quiet roads to explore on foot, bike or horseback while also being close enough to the coast that you could spend the day surfing, or soaking up the sun's rays. Nearby Taunton offers great shopping, several theatres, a cinema, spas and several golf courses. Also nearby is Coleridge Way, a 36 mile waymarked walk through the stunning Somerset countryside, following in the footsteps of famous romantic poet Coleridge. Other activities include horse riding at nearby Manor Farm, sampling wines at Oatley Vineyard and strolling through the lush greenery of Hestercombe Gardens.
