Why we've chosen Welsummer Camping

Set in lovely landscape near Lenham, this small and generously devised campsite aims to highlight the natural wealth of the area. Owners Laura and Med Benaggoune have been restoring hedgerows (particularly to encourage dormice) and planting fruit trees and have recently introduced bee hives. They offer 20 or so pitches in meadows or woodland and present the option of (relative) camping luxury in rented bell tents. If sleeping under canvas isn’t quite your thing, there’s also a hut sleeping three, or a B&B double room in an old stone cottage.
