A charming and personal 20th century summer residence where the owner, Ellika and her team offer guests warm hospitality in a stunning setting. Situated near Ljungskile, 45-minutes drive from Gothenburg, the Villa Sjotorp is a hidden treasure that enjoys uninterrupted views across the waters of Ljungskile bay from its landscaped gardens and terrace.
Over the years Villa Sjotorp has earned a well deserved reputation, and has won a number of awards, for its terrific restaurant. Head chefs Mattias Jonsson and Linnea Pettersson strive to offer guests a taste of Sweden, offering seasonal menus and using 70% organic and locally sourced food.

To truly minimise the environmental impact, guests are encouraged to arrive by public transport: from the UK, catch the train at London St Pancras and journey to Gothenburg via Brussels, Cologne and Copenhagen. From Gothenburg, take a train or bus, departing at least once per hour, to Ljungskile. The station is 3km away from Villa Sjotorp, where taxis are available for the short ride to the hotel. Onsite the property has been awarded the Svanen Nordic Ecolobel for their environmental initiatives, including use of fresh local produce in the restaurant.
