Why we've chosen Tayside Hotel, Perthshire:

Originally built to serve anglers who came from far and wide to fish for salmon on the River Tay the Tayside Hotel has been welcoming weary travellers with good food and a warm bed for over 100 years. Times have definitely changed, however, but at the Tayside we are proud to continue this tradition by offering genuine, warm hospitality, well appointed guest rooms and traditional, home-cooked cuisine in a unique atmosphere that will allow you to relax, unwind and enjoy all that we have to offer.

Review by Lucy Gillmore

"This is a traditional sporting hotel, a little old-fashioned but for those wanting somewhere to lay their heads after a day’s fishing, hiking or stalking in the hills or playing one of the region’s famous golf courses it’s a comfortable base with bags of history and atmosphere."
