Why we've chosen Shatton Hall Farm Park:

Three S/C cottages, sensitively restored from the Elizabethan Farmstead buildings are a welcome retreat from a busy life. Here at Shatton Hall Farm there are many quiet spots in our extensive gardens, which we opened under the National Garden Scheme for 15 years. Each cottage has a garden or terrace and ample parking. Our private water supply is certified drinkable and we supply solar hot water, photovoltaic electricity and full re-cycling on site. A hard tennis court and informal fishing, stream side walls or longer rambles up to our ancient woodland where you might spot heron along the stream, which runs right down through the farm or buzzards (which nest in the woods) wheeling overhead. Coming home after dark you often find a badger wombling the up lane ahead. Wild life is returning under Higher Level Environmental Management and we have been awarded the Environmental Quality Mark from the Peak District National Park. In the new plantations, orchids now thrive in spring and dragonflies, butterflies, birds and plant species are re-establishing. In ancient Carr Wood bluebells, honeysuckle, marsh marigolds, violets and wild garlic are found. Walk straight out from the farm, leaving the car behind, to enjoy the huge local network of footpaths, cycle routes and bridal paths. We are certified Bike Friendly, with undercover bike storage and cleaning. We also have stabling and grazing for your horse at reasonable rates. You will find you are on a well marked cycle route and bridal path at the farm entrance.
