Why is this a greener holiday?

To truly minimise the environmental impact, guests are encouraged to arrive by public transport: the nearest train stations are Newtonmore, Kingussie and Dalwhinnie and the owners are happy to collect guest from these stations by prior arrangement. If arriving on foot, they can also collect guests who are walking the East Highland Way.

Onsite the owners have taken a number of green measures to reduce the environmental impact of their tourism business, and have earned Gold from the GTBS. Energy saving light bulbs are used throughout and they purchase A+, A and B energy rated appliances when required. They use organic and fair trade produce wherever possible and only use eco friendly cleaning products. They have an extensive recycling program to reduce waste sent to landfill.
