This extremely popular, family-run traditional hotel is one of our favourites. Only a 2 minute walk from the centre of Chamonix, the ski bus stops right outside the hotel, so can literally get up and go for some of the best skiing in Europe. Offered on a B&B basis, there's plenty of opportunity to sample the numerous hotel restaurants that serve up sumptuous dishes. All the twin and double rooms are surprisingly spacious, some of which even offer private balconies that look out over Mont Blanc. The comfortable lounge is also a great place to sit and enjoy a well-deserved drink after a hard day on the slopes.
Why is this a greener holiday?
To truly minimise the environmental impact of a ski holiday, guests are encouraged to arrive by public transport: the nearest train station is Chamonix, which is easily reachable via Paris and St Gervais. From there, the accommodation is a short taxi or bus ride away.
