An ideal setting for a family reunion or a large party of friends, Brookside Farmhouse and Cwm Broadwell Barn are large holiday cottages half a mile apart that are self catering and both are located in New Radnor, in the beautiful Welsh Marches. Half way down the border between England and Wales, the properties are close to the Offa's Dyke footpath and the popular towns of Ludlow, Hay-on-Wye and Presteigne.

Brookside Farmhouse is grade ll listed, part of which dates back to the 17th century. Rich with period details including a 10ft stone inglenook fireplace with wood burner stove and oak beams, floors and staircase and is sensitively decorated and furnished. Accommodating up to 12 people plus two guests in two double and two twin rooms, with a further two twin rooms with an extra bed in each. It has large mature private gardens with lawns, rose beds and herbaceous borders. Large 6-8 seater hot tub, BBQ and trampoline. Private courtyard with picnic bench to the rear. Sitting at the foot of Castle Mound the site of a Norman Keep and flanked by a pretty stream which trickles through the picturesque village of New Radnor.

Stylish, modern and full of light Cwm Broadwell Barn is set in an elevated beautiful private valley of 35 acres separated by streams and boarded by woodland rising up to the Radnor Forest. It comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests in 2 double bedrooms and 3 twin rooms. Open plan with timber frame and oak floors with large spiral staircase. Terrific unspoilt panoramic views throughout. Large 6-8 seater hot tub, BBQ and trampoline.

The magnificent scenery of the Radnor Hills offers a wide variety of outdoor pursuits: hiking, pony trekking, kayaking, fishing, cycling and paragliding are all available locally, and nearby Kington has the highest golf course in England.

For those seeking a more relaxed retreat, the surrounding countryside is a peaceful home to red kites, buzzards, merlins and wide variety of rare animals and plants. Nearby shops supply superb local produce, and a great range of restaurants and pubs - some Michelin starred - offer delicious locally-sourced and home-cooked food.

From Hereford follow signs westward towards Rhayder and to A44. Alternatively from Hereford Station take 461 bus direction LLandrindod Wells. In New Radnor go up high street, turn right at T junction signposted Kinnerton. Brookside farmhouse is situated 100 metres on right. For Cwm Broadwell Barn, take first left, signposted Mutton Dingle and coninue for 1/2 mile. Turn right into lane of Cwm Broadwell, over cattle grid, keep right, over second cattle grid.
