Our low impact adventure lodge is located deep in the heart of the Pembrokeshire coast, in Britain's only coastal National Park. The lodge nestles in a hidden valley, surrounded by rolling countryside, with just a ten minute walk through the bluebell woods to our local beach – a secluded bay where seals sometimes sleep, and the perfect venue for moonlit frolics. Our lodge has been designed with sustainable practice in mind; a ground source heat pump provides unlimited hot water and heating, and we source much of our yummy food locally, and in season. In 2008 we won Pembrokeshire Tourism's 'Greenest Achievement' Award, and have been awarded Green Dragon level 2 after a rigorous accreditation process by Arena Network.
Our staff are second to none – we aim to share the very best of Pembrokeshire with you, and we'll be on hand to recommend the topmost places to fly a kite, take a boat trip, eat an ice cream, or check out the underwater life with snorkel and mask. We'll ensure that you'll leave with your need for fun, adventures, and wholesome living well satiated. If you'd like to join us for adventure, we specialize in providing low impact activities – coasteering, sea kayaking, and surfing, all led by our friendly and qualified guides.
Ride clean green waves onto Blue flag beaches, kayak into caves that echo with the songs of the seals, and jump from towering rock arches into blue lagoons – there truly is no better way to experience the Pembrokeshire coastline. Special things to do and see here: * Adventure activities: Coasteering, sea kayaking, and surfing * Walking – on the famous Pembrokeshire coast path and in the Preseli Hills * Birdwatching and nature watching! * Boat trips and fishing, cetacean watching Cycling & walking: Cyclers, hikers, twitchers and any adventurers welcome – we have plenty of storage for outdoor gear, an excellent drying room and a lot of local knowledge that we are very happy to share with you to help you get the best of your stay in Pembrokeshire. Rooms, food and facilities: The new bar and dining area, with inspirational views down to the bay at Abermawr, provides a relaxing space for dining and socializing. We have comfy sofas and a wood burning stove, ideal for unwinding after a long day on the coast. Our outdoor garden area and traditional Pembrokeshire courtyard area are great spots on a sunny day, and in the evening we'll light a bonfire under the stars.
The lodge has a staffed, private licensed bar stocked full of local and organic tipples, as well as all the usual favourites. A brand new shower and toilet block provides a swanky area for all of your ablutions – wet rooms, power showers and water saving features combine to provide a luxurious and sustainable experience! The lodge has a range of comfy bedrooms sleeping between 2 and 8 people. Other features include plenty of free parking, broadband wireless available in the lounge area, games and books as well as an awesome sound system where you can hook up your own ipod. Help yourselves to a selection of fair trade and organic hot drinks at any time. Vegetarians and special diets are happily catered for.
"Our coasteering instructor, Steve, always reminded us to 'take just one big positive step' before stepping off the edge of a precipice. This gentle optimism and low key approach to having fun in the outdoors, sums up Preseli Venture for me."
