Trossachs Yurts are a fusion of Krgyk design and local materials which create a homely, earthy feel. The thick rugs and rough tapestries add comfortable touches to the traditional yurts and make them stand out from the crowd. Stuc a'Chroin, Ben Lomond and Ben Ledi Yurts also enjoy unique views across Flanders Moss National Nature Reserve. Book the yurts together for an exciting group or family holiday.

Things to do:

A plethora of arts and crafts activities await you, including willow crafting, felt crafting, spoon carving, paper making, Japanese block printing, batik dye work and mosaics. There are also yoga courses on offer and plenty of very local produce from the revitalised kitchen garden and the cattle that graze on the moss.

Why is this a greener holiday?

To minimise their environmental impact, guests can easily arrive by public transport and pick up can be arranged from nearby train and bus stations. To reduce its draw on energy, the yurt is completely off-grid, with no electricity, but solar lights and lanterns. They source all materials as sustainably as possible, including the yurt platforms which are exterior ply-boards. The working farm is organic and the small herd of native Shetland cattle are very important for the conservation of the farm's habitat as they keep back the rough grasses and regenerating birch trees which threaten to take over the moss by simply eating them.
