Why we've chosen Norfolk Mead:

Anna and James come from a catering background and first met when they were both working for McLaren on the Formula 1 circuit ten years ago, travelling the World and catering for the culinary needs of the McLaren drivers, mechanics and support team. They have always dreamed of owning their own hotel and venue and the Norfolk Mead is the realisation of that dream. Their expertise is catering for private and corporate business and they have built up an enviable reputation with clients around the UK and overseas. Anna Duttson Events continues to run successfully from Norfolk, catering for private and corporate events all over UK and Europe.

All rooms are individually appointed to give you a truly personal experience at the Norfolk Mead Hotel. There are Suites, Deluxe and Standard rooms in the hotel and the Cottage & Summer House in the grounds.

There's over an acre of lovingly kept private grounds for you to enjoy from the expansive front lawn to the gardens that circle the hotel and extend right to the banks of the River Bure.  The private lake has swans, geese and other wildfowl and a leisurely stroll around the grounds is the ideal way to work up an appetite for breakfast or dinner.  At the heart of the Norfolk Mead is the walled garden, with lush lawns, rose bushes and a large sheltered terrace to ensure you can enjoy Afternoon Tea or pre-dinner drinks in a group or in private to suit your mood. The walled garden is lovingly tended by the groundsman to keep the flowerbeds in bloom throughout the spring and summer.

At the Norfolk Mead only fresh, local ingredients sourced from the finest farms and markets in Norfolk are used, to ensure you enjoy your meal with us and heartily recommend us to your family and friends.

Reviewed by Lucy Symons  "The Meads offers a homely welcome, harking back to The Good Old Days, but updated with stylish mod cons.  Anna and James provide you with all the elements they always appreciate themselves: a good welcome, good bed, shower, and a delicious breakfast. Spot on."  Read Lucy's full review of Norfolk Mead Hotel
