Why we've chosen Nantwen:

Nantwen is a luxury cottage located within the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Near the seaside village of Newport. Nantwen is a large spacious cottage with expansive grounds and when you book it as a cottage for two then you have the whole place to yourself, (no venue events take place when the cottage is booked) The perfect accommodation for honeymoons, mini-moons, romantic weekends, or simply a break from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Inside, there are elegant reminders of the building’s past: exposed beams and wood features, carefully renovated using locally sourced material. The building is so full of eco-technology, Nantwen has been awarded a Gold Award for Green Tourism.

The cottage was originally a barn, up until 2011 when it was converted into a luxurious holiday cottage for 2 (and featured as a romantic bolthole by the Huffington Post.) After a stroll in the countryside, return to relax in front of the log burning stove or take a bath in the deep claw-footed tub. With underfloor heating and blankets from a local wool mill, you might not want to go back outside except to relax in the secluded garden. This is the perfect place to hide away from the world. The cottage sits at the top of a valley, with stunning vistas over the forests and fields below.  Located on a farm, sequestered at the end of a private lane, the cottage is secluded from the main house, giving guests complete privacy. In 2015 it won "Friendliest host award" from Dorset Cereals and Nantwen was also featured as a honeymoon spot in the Vogue wedding wish list and listed by the Times as one of the cosiest Cottages in Britain

The nearest train stations are Clunderwen or Fishguard Harbour. Your hosts are more than happy to pick you up for a small charge and you can spend your holiday hiding away or walking in the hills. There are also good local bus links.
