Why we've chosen Mill Farm

Mill Farm is situated just an hour south of London in the South Downs National Park, one mile from Lurgashall, a quintessential English village. It is within 15 minutes of Midhurst, acclaimed by Country Life, Petworth, with its biggest collection of Turner paintings in the UK, and Haslemere toot The farm itself will be going all out at Easter, with not only the classic Easter egg hunt but a yellow duck race, and their Easter Sunday clay shoot. Their enthusiasm doesn't end at Easter though... Mill will already be lambing by then too.

The farm is run in keeping with the unique area it is in, for experience that Andrew and Jennifer Loughan are keen to share. Lambing in spring, free range woodland-pig spotting, fishing in their private lake and a farm tour across as many vivid and varied terrains as you would expect in the South Downs National Park await you. How about a go at clay shooting? There will be something for everyone. Unfortunately, dogs cannot be accommodated.

Putting your best foot forward, there are endless glorious public footpaths through the parish, and the national park, renowned for its low-level light pollution. All sorts of flora and fauna will be close by including Downland sheep, kingfishers, badgers, bats, a variety of coarse fish, wetland birds, ducks and geese and, of course, woodland pigs having stopped to munch a little bracken. Lurgashall’s 16th-century pub on the traditional village green can be the ideal place to end up.

There are several wineries in the area, one with a visitor centre within walking distance of the farm. Another destination, Blackdown Hill AONB, seen from the tents, is south England's 2nd highest point offering views across Surrey, Hampshire and Sussex. Mill Farm offers weddings too.
