Laundry is line dried where possible. Electricity is on green tariff, so from 100% renewable sources. Water is sourced from a bore hole deep in the Preseli hills, it is UV sterilised and checked annually by the National Park. Dual flush toilets and shower restrictors have been fitted. All washing is line dried where practical and a Bosch Ecologix 7 drier is used (40% more efficient that A rated) when raining. Water butts are used for watering garden. They have chickens that provide free range eggs and offer home grown vegetables from the polytunnel. Guests are requested to separate plastics, card, aluminum and glass for separate collection. Kitchen waste is composted on site in the wormery or compost heaps. All cleaning products are eco friendly.

To encourage arrival by public transport, they offer collection from nearest railway station. To explore the area, there are plenty of car-free options to get around, including cycling, walking, pony trekking and the local Green Dragon Bus service. The gardens are set up on permaculture lines, and have created an excellent area for bio-diversity. They have brown long eared bats roosting in the roof and following a protected species survey they have taken measures to ensure unlimited access to the roof space by the bats whilst improving insulation. They are located in Pembrokeshire National Park, the only coastal national park in the country, and is amazingly rich in wildlife, from owls and red kites to otters, dolphins and seals.
