Why is this a greener holiday?
To truly minimise the environmental impact, guests are encouraged to arrive by public transport: the nearest train station is Ulverston. From there, take the A590 to Coniston. From the road to Nibthwaite take East of Lake Road. Come to Lawson Park (LA21 8AD) by prior arrangement where the owners are happy to pick guests up. Onsite the owners have taken a number of green measures to reduce the environmental impact of their tourism business, including use of own water source to meet water needs, completely off-grid and wood burning stove for heating and cooking needs.
