Glynmeddig is perfect for groups looking for a self catering holiday or short break, for those wanting plenty of space for a reunion or celebration as well as for those looking for a base for an activity holiday in the Brecon Beacons.
Glynmeddig Barn has been lovingly restored with a wealth of old beams, arrow slit windows & rustic terra cotta floors. Originally stables & a hay barn it now offers a lovely living space for groups on holiday – room to all eat together, space to sit down and catch up with each other and a great games room to keep the children entertained….or indeed the adults too!! The main room is magnificent with the ceiling open to the rafters –the dining tables seats 20 and there are three big comfy sofas for relaxing on. Heated by under floor heating & a wood-burning stove the room is always warm and cosy.
Glynmeddig has eight bedrooms sleeping up to 20 people – the bedrooms offer a mix of double, bunk beds and twin rooms. Two of the bedrooms (sleeping 4 in each) are on the ground floor. We make up the beds for you – you just need to bring your own towels.
Catering for 20 is not a problem at Glynmeddig as there is plenty of cookware for all your catering needs. Should you want to be spoilt we have a couple of caterers who can either deliver a choice of pre-prepared dishes made with local food or will come and serve a whole meal for you. For those joyful summer days there is a BBQ on the south facing terrace just outside the dining area and we have a tennis court in arguably one of the most beautiful locations In Wales!
For those days when it is not so balmy outside (few in Wales of course!!) we have a games room with table tennis, a small pool table and table football. Although we hope you will have other things to do there is also a TV and DVD player as well as WiFi in the games room.
Glynmeddig is fortunate enough to have a variety of footpaths heading in various directions from the property and we have had three walks mapped to help you discover the best way to the pub via a green lane, how to get onto Trallong common to the east or where to head up on to the hill opposite us to get the greatest views west to the Carmarthen Fans and the Brecon Beacons. In the Summer the Cilleni river just beneath us has a pool where our children have played and swum all their lives - made damns and fashioned swings off the bank....2 minutes walk down the field – heaven!!

Abergavenny is the best train station to head for with good connections to the main lines to London, the south and north. The journey to us then does take 45 minutes We can put you in touch with good taxi companies to pick you up or you can take the X43 bus to Brecon and change to the X63 out to Sennybrdge where we can pop down to collect you.
