Why we've chosen Florence Springs

Pick a yurt or a grass roofed hobbit hut, or find a picth for your tent in this peaceful spot in Pembrokeshire. Hot tubs and two fishing lakes are available for campers - peaceful yet close to Heatherton Activity Park, where you can spend a day with the whole family and explore the maze or the Treetops Adventure Trail. Kids also love the Manor House Wildlife Park, The Dinosaur Park, Tenby and (for the less adrenalin driven) the Pembrokeshires Coast National Park.

A choice of silky sandy beaches and rocky coves lie within the spectacular Pembrokeshire coastal National Park, including Tenby's stunning coastline, which has some of the best beaches in the world. The Pembrokeshire National coastpath was voted one of the top 3 walks in the world in 2011, along with Machu Picchu and Kilimanjaro and is a short 3 miles away from Florence Springs. Pembrokeshire also has a wealth of historic buildings including Carew castle, Manorbier Castle Pembroke Castle and St Govans chapel, which are all nearby.

Beaches are abundant and clean, walk in the woods or along the coast and birdwatch. Dark skies allow for a perfect spot to star gaze. Possibly from a hot tub? Heaven.

Eco credentials:

How do you reduce your draw on energy:
We have solar panels throughout the site that generate electricity for lighting, charging and freezing of ice packs. Hobbit Houses are fully insulated and rely on wood burners for heating. The hot tubs are all eco friendly, with the heat source being a wood burner.

How you minimise the amount of waste you send to landfill:
Recycle bins on site for our guests. Compost toilets on site.

How you reduce your consumption of water:
Flow restrictors on our shower heads, to limit consumption. Compost toilets on site, limiting water consumption greatly.

Do you actively encourage guests to arrive on foot, by bike and by public transport?:
We actively promote guests to bring bikes and public transport links are just 500 yards from the village. A number of footpaths are promoted for our guests to use, to gain access to facilities and local amenities. We offer safe storage for bikes on site. Pedestrian friendly site, cars parked on the outskirts of the village - reducing carbon footprint and making it a safer environment for families to enjoy.
