A long winding drive through ancient woods and deer pastures brings you to the enormous front door of our splendid Georgian mansion.  You'll be greeter by a warm welcome, afternoon tea by the open fire and a hospitality and an atmosphere that is special to Coopershill, which has been the home to 8 generations of the O’Hara’s. Built in 1774 it is in immaculate condition - the 14 foot high ceilings, bright, spacious bedrooms and original antiques at every turn will take your breath away. Dinner is a highlight served at candle lit tables set with family silver and crystal. Ingredients straight from our own vegetable and fruit gardens produce wonderfully fresh flavours. This is the land of W.B. Yeats with mountains, lakes and megalithic ruins along with Championship golf courses, beaches and fishing just a short drive away. But the best place to be is on the 500 acre estate at Coopershill with delightful paths through the woods and deer pastures. If you’re lucky, Alice the spaniel might take you for a walk!

Catherine MackReviewed by Catherine Mack:

"Coopershill, although grand and elegant, does not take itself too seriously. There is a snooker room in the basement, hats on antlers, and smiling O’Haras at every return of the spiral staircase. It’s almost as if the building has absorbed the warmth of seven generations of welcoming souls...."
