Why we've chosen Converted Mill:

Beautifully romantic, this converted mill is located in a peaceful part of the upper Wye valley in Mid Wales. Right next to a waterfall, the cottage contains a balcony which overlooks the ‘wheel-race’. Inside, there is plenty of space for two people. With original artwork on all the walls, comfy sofas and a wood-burning stove, this is an unashamedly romantic getaway. Local wildlife is visible from the balcony, so keep an eye out for kingfishers, dippers and otters, or go to the garden and collect organic vegetables, or free range eggs from the resident hens. A pool table in the den provides entertainment for rainy days. The owners of the cottage are artists, and live just next door. Ready to help if you need it, they are equally happy to give you the space and privacy needed, earning this cottage a place in The Times 2014 Top 50 UK self-catering properties (‘best for couples’).
