Why we've chosen Cobblestone Barn
Cobblestone Barn is found in the stunning Eden Valley, set between the North Pennines to the east and the Lake District National Park to the west. The barn itself has been recently converted and retains much of its original character and charm, boasting beamed ceilings and stone walls. The barn is also impressively green: all recyclable material recovered during the renovation was kept with the aim of using it elsewhere, there's a new ground source heat pump and the field behind the barn was converted into a market store selling organic material. Nedless to say, the barn is accredited by the GTBS.
What makes it a green accommodation?
Lower ground floor heated by ground source heat pump.
Central heating powered by multi-fuel stove.
All recyclable material recovered during the barn's renovation was kept with the aim of using it elsewhere.
Directions from station:
From Langwathby take the No. 888 bus towards Newcastle upon Tyne and alight at The New Inn. From there Cobblestone Barn is a one minute walk.
