Why we've chosen Black Lion Inn

Leigh and Mari's hunt for a restoration project ended here, at this once derelict 18th-century coaching inn in pretty Llanfaethlu. Wedged between Valley and Cemaes Bay, the pub has been renovated by the new owners, who both have a flair for design and a passion for good food. The menu is full of wonderful dishes, and ingredients come direct from local producers - make sure you book in for dinner. There are two light and bright doubles upstairs above the old pub - both are fresh and inviting with very good beds, gorgeous linen and generous, sparkling bathrooms.
