Why we've chosen Best Western Beaumont Hotel

This family-owned Best Western hotel overlooks the 7th-century abbey in Hexham, with its Anglo-Saxon crypt, medieval monk’s staircase and well-stocked fancy dress boxes. The decor is a touch dated, but the staff are attentive and welcoming and it’s in a fantastic base for exploring the southern sights of the National Park. It’s only a 15-minute drive to Hadrian’s Wall, 20 minutes to the mossy, riverside paths at Allen Banks and Staward Gorge and an hour to Kielder Water (take the scenic route through Wark and Bellingham!). The 34 bedrooms have all the facilities you would expect from a Best Western hotel, plus an electric car charging point in the car park.
