Situated on the banks of the River Clyde, near Glasgow, and designated as the national public sector conference centre The Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel also delights in hosting meetings for commercial companies, charities and clubs. The unique facility is particularly suitable for healthcare conferences and meetings which can be enriched by the ability to stream live surgical procedures from the Golden Jubilee National Hospital and using the clinical skills facilities at The Beardmore Centre for Health Science.

The heating is controlled by a main computer system BMS, There is a high efficiency, A rated boiler installed, all windows are double glazed and the roof has been fully insulated since 1994. All new equipment is A rated. All waste is recycled, and from the general waste at least 60% can be recycled. All bedrooms have recycling boxes for guest to recycle their non-food waste, all the soaps and shampoos are in bottles which are refilled, so there is no waste. Conference rooms all have information about recycling and there are also recycling bags for any recyclable materials. All recyclable materials within the staff areas are recycled, seperate bins are provided for this.

 All showers have low flow, the showers fitted in the Health Club are on for only 17 seconds for one push. Urinals and wash hand basins are fitted with sensors to guard against over-running.

 75% of the meat served is Scottish, all Scottish fish used is from a sustainable source. Local produce has been increased to 55%. Organic food use makes up about 25% of the total and there are future plans to increase this. Where possible,  Fairtrade produce is used and all menus are enhanced with the use of local produce. Cookings oils are recycled into bio-fuels. Vegetarian options are available on menus. A majority of suppliers have 'Green' credentials.

Further information on public transport, walking and cycling can be accessed on the iMacs in all guest bedrooms. Bike hire is available for guests and staff from the Health Club. The hotel is situated near the river Clyde where guests or staff can go for walks.
