Welcome to B&B “De Groene Maan” ( The Green Moon). Klaas and Marijke are pleased to welcome you in their nineteenth century, fully restored mansion townhouse in Mechelen - a picturesque city halfway between Brussels and Antwerp. The B&B is situated in the center of town, near the grote markt (great market), the tourist office and at walking distance from the two railway stations in Mechelen. There are two spacious rooms available. The first room consists of a master bedroom and an adjacent room, linked by a charming bathroom with a free standing bath. The second room includes a master and a private bathroom.
The house has been restored by Klaas en Marijke with sustainability at the forefront of their decisions. The house now has solar panels, insulated ceilings, vintage and second hand furniture, and there are 2 complementary bikes for guests, A breakfast with fresh, homemade and organic products is served in the room.
In march 2010 B&B De Groene Maan was nominated for the title of most ecological B&B of Belgium.

Mechelen Nekkerspoel station is 30 mins by train from Brussels Midi (train ticket free with your Eurostar ticket). Mechelen Nekkerspoel is a 5 minute walk from De Groene Maan: go to the city center via the Keizerstraat and the Veemarkt. then turn left into the Rik Woutersstraat. Mechelen Centraal is a 15 minute walk (please ask us for directions).
