Ecovallée is a quiet, family friendly yurt campsite 300m from the medieval market town of Lalinde. Facilities for 2012 include two 18-foot coppiced chestnut yurts sleeping up to four, the 12-foot Play Yurt, solar shower, woodland play area, safari-style kitchen with gas BBQ and four-hob gas oven. They also have a 12-foot Roaming Yurt that can be delivered to anywhere in a 50-km radius of écovallée for €80 a night (plus reasonable delivery and collection charges) for people who can't get their preferred week here.
The guest yurt overlooks a 12.5-acre smallholding where pigs forage in the woods, chickens range free in the orchard, alongside ducks and rabbits, and a working horse who doesn't work very hard. The large allotment produces a wealth of vegetables guests can sample as available.
Various baby and toddler accessories (all-terrain buggy, baby bath, high chair, toys, and books in English and French) are available to save on packing.

"If you’re thinking of buying a yurt or living off the land, then this is an excellent place to pick up a few tips. But equally, if you’re looking for a quiet bolthole in the Dordogne, particularly if you have young children, this is ideal. Inspirational."
